Hello-I have a 2003 225Q with just over 60K. I've noticed on about 3-5 cold starts a slight screeching/squealing sound coming from the engine bay for the first 5 seconds or so. It only does this after sitting all night. I've sprayed on some belt conditioner thinking it was a dry belt but it happened the next day. Anyone have the same issues? Is the water pump telling me something? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It is mounted just behind the radiator , low on the passenger side. It runs on cold starts to pump air thru the cat converters and help fire them off. They chronically get noisy with age. Many owners have rebuilt them by replacing the soft rivets holding the housing together with small long machine screws.
