Stupid question about relocation of DV..

Stupid question about relocation of DV..
Ok, so I purchased a DV and had forge install it. He installed it upside down so it makes kind of a bird whistle sound now vs the "whoosh". Not sure why, but he said it would be better to install it like this. What does relocating the DV do? Stupid question I know...

why hot air? at cold side?
wouldnt you want the hot, recirculated air to go back through the IC????
im a noob, but where's a link/info on this subject?....
i'd rather have the hot air pass through the IC again to cool it down... not go close to the t/b heating it up....
im sure there's a thorough explanation somewhere....

I did.. thank you. Also, any idea to why FORGE told me to flip this thing up side down and install it? I know the inlets bigger.. just curious...
