For those who chose different than original Continental Conti Sport Contact 2,...
what did you choose, did you feel a difference, and how significant was the difference in driving experience (wet, dry,..)? thanx.

oh God...there's a ton of tire info here, and on the AW wheel and tire forum.
Mine came with the Pilot Sports, which were great, but when I chewed into the sidewall in an autoX, it was time to get new ones.
I've tried many different tires, and this is something that everyone has their own opinion on, but I don't think you can do much better than the Kumho Ecsta MX's, particularly for the price. Tire Rack, a forum sponsor, autoX sponsor, and generally good guys, agrees.
Tire rack will also shave down a new tire to match the tread depths on your existing tires to keep your AWD system balanced if you happen to get a flat on one.
Many people here also like the Falcon perf. tire, search for the latest model. Others swear by their Goodyear Eagle F1's, some don't like those, etc. Lots of good brands, all will likely do the job well if you get their performance model, but at some point it becomes a cost issue, as in how much more do you get for spending more? In some cases, I think the answer is that you get less, or at least very little more. Check out the MX's, and whatever other "Max Performance" tires are on sale.
