Re: <hijack>
Hans,
Perhaps on the verge of taking a new job on the other side of the country. But I'm still plotting to come! I may fly back to Detroit and drive with Jeff (JackTTar). I may also be out in the NE the end of May too... Just depends how things go with the signing. May try to be at TTW kinda last minute too. Working on it....
I'll be in touch as soon as I know something.
In the meantime, my creative outlet is re-doing the back of the TT, and some work on the front as well, and a bunch of mechanical mods (with Jeff's help, perhaps..)

obviously. also, is free maint only at this dealership or anywhere?
what if you sell the car within the standard free maintenance period/mileage range, or if you move or change dealerships?
Also, how do you plan to "arbritrate" the free main activity when you have issues? Will this be honored by AoA or just this stealer?
Sounds like you made a good deal though although the devil is in the details that you need to lock down.

Customer service my demin blue ****>
That is definately NOT how customer service should work. You should not have to talk to a buddy of the GM. The salesman should have checked out the possibility before having you sign on it.
Trying to deceive someone like that is punishable by treble damages, is it not? I bet the service and sales departments conspired to keep the GM in the dark. Once he found out, he must have flipped.
Someone or many should be reprimanded or fired for these decptive practices. I wouldn't buy from that dealer unless those people were gone.

btw, comments about gr8 customer service are bs....they perpetrated fraud
and they are lucky you didn't take them to court, go to the BBB, get AoA involved, get the press involved, etc.
If I am reading your earlier post correctly, they tried to swindle you and you have evidence! You're a trooper for willing to ever walk into their dealership after this as I would have been long gone and my lawyer would have been cleaning up the pieces.
