Thanks....
My problem is I am building a HTPC (home theater PC) It needs to be quiet, therfore not much in the way of active cooling, therefore the hotter P4's cause me some concern.
Plus a P4 is a bit overkill for a HTPC. You have any PIII stuff laying around?

Only PII stuff
My old system was P4, and my old dual PIII I used as a mail server. I am planning on a HDTV system for my dad, black case, desktop or rack mount. I want to build a HD TiVo, but it might be too much.

Checkout the Suttle barebones systems
The new ones, P4 and Athlon, use a heat pipe and a varible speed fan for very quite operation. I'll be getting one soon. They are about to release a version based on the new nvidia chipset.

http://www.shuttleonline.com/</a
