Default Total ricer move.

I was bored tonight and did some reading...

I took off my airbox, I was sort of curious where the MAF sensor was, so I unscrewed it from the airbox...

I jammed the MAF into a K&N filter and took her for a spin.

She indeed was much louder... I felt bad so I took the ghetto rig off and put the airbox back in.

Whats that little tube connected to the bottom left side of the airbox? felt around inside of it and it was clean so I'm guessing it just sucks in fresh air?!

Anyway, if you're bored it took me like 10 minutes and it sounded sort of need. My friend and I drove around calling it the grey firebreathing dragon.

Goodnight everyone!

(Can't wait to get a modshack intake)

The small tube is the cold start air intake.

Default I modified my airbox to breathe better

with a couple of holes, dropped in a K&N and it sounds nice, plus gets some added air and it was free and still looks completely stock.

Did you drill the holes in the bottom of the airbox?

I know thats a dumb question but I saw a "how to" online where the idiot drilled in the path of already filtered air...

anyway... do you like the sound of it? How big were the holes you drilled?

I may do that until I get the modshack intake.

Default heres a pic...

THIS IS NOT MINE, but mine looks similar(not quite a swiss cheesed), I tried to keep the holes toward the side of the fender, away from the turbo.

Definitely increased the sound and from a comparo test a few months back, it should have flow similar to the modshck rig...of course the temps will not be as low as with a modshack but I am happy with it.

Thanks for the picture...

If its all covered up I guess it would be pretty nice. Is it much louder than just putting a filter right on the MAF?
