TT Production numbers
got this nice email from Audi Customer care:

very helpful in supporting our work, for it gives us the opportunity to produce vehicles according to the wants and needs of our
clients.
Having read your kind lines, we feel that we have reached this aim to some extent.
Regarding your request we are happy to provide you with the number of produced Audi TT cars in the years of 1999 to 2006:
1999: 52.579 (Coupé 44.022, Roadster 8.557)
2000: 56.776 (Coupé 31.064, Roadster 25.712)
2001: 39.349 (Coupé 22.078, Roadster 17.271)
2002: 34.711 (Coupé 21.488, Roadster 13.223)
2003: 32.337 (Coupé 20.807, Roadster 11.530)
2004: 23.605 (Coupé 14.753, Roadster 8.852)
2005: 12.307 (Coupé 8.368, Roadster 3.939)
2006: 23.675 (Coupé 21.461, Roadster 2.214)
Please note that we could not split the production of the first Audi TT model and the successor. We ask for your kind
understanding that a more detailed specification of output figures broken down by engine is not available.
Once again we would like to thank you for telling us how enthusiastic you are about the Audi TT. We hope you will find this

looks like whoever made the graph got the '99 numbers wrong >
the total coupe production matches Audi's total overall production; who knows where the "15,000" roadster number comes from.
