the range being 5-5.2 for the C32, whereas the range for the M3 has been 4.65-5.1
so 1/4 sec faster on average.
i saw that C&D did achieve 4.5 and 13.00 in the SLK32, but now we aren't comparing cars in the same class... two seat roadster vs. 4 seat sedan (coupe if you like, but the M3 really isn't one given the size of the rear seat).
regardless, i was never making the argument that Mercedes were bad cars, quite the opposite. I just didn't think the "C32 walks away from an M3," nor the "bmw pays for good reviews" comments were valid.

This is my last comment in this regard. If you are only going by what is in magazines, you should not be so prolific with 'expert' opinion.
