Default turbo noise???

Does anybody else notice an occasional fluttering noise while accelerating. Its sounds like the turbo is malfunctioning, but I can't be sure. Has anyone else noticed this?

Default The fluttering is probably lift off rattle. Have service check your

DV or my an aftermarket Bailey or Forge as many of us have done. Cured my rattle instantly, provided smoother acceleration as well.

Default Is this in all gears except 1st? Do you have a 225?

You keep your foot in it and the car makes a horrible noise and seems to lose boost?

If it is as I described it . . . it is NOT:

Your turbo
Your DV
Your N75

Still investigating George's car! He has the SAME problem.

Default I had that fluttering noise. sounded like it was coming from the

drivers side wheel well and was fluttering after lift off of hard acceleration. Put in a forge and mine disappeared. Doug

I can hear it best when accel in 2nd gear. I have a 180 QC. The dealership already replaced the DV once and now it makes a fluttering noise instead of honking noise.

It is in all gears, most noticeable in 2nd. I have 180, but it is exactly as you describe it. What is the N75?

Default Same recommendation....second gear provided the most flutterations on my car as well.

Many people have had the DV replaced numerous times only to have the problem happen all over again. For a long time, I was adamant about having Audi fix the problem, but all they do is keep coming out with another iteration of the same DV that doesn't do the trick. Finally gave up and went aftermarket. Get a Forge.
