Default turbo timer

I previously owned a Mitsubishi Eclipse that I had modified with various HKS parts and in that car I had a turbo timer installed. This basically left my car idle for a set period of time after I take my key out of the ignition in order to cool down the turbocharger. Would this be a good thing to install in my TT you think?

Default If you own a 225hp there is no need, apparently there is a pump that keeps the

oil flowing for a period of time

on a 180hp it couldn't hurt

Default Water actually, not oil... keeps coolant flowing for five minutes or so...

anytime the ignition is turned off. This is true even if you don't start the car, but only ignition on/off.

Default I had/have one on my TT

Regardless of the factory set cooling, after driving the TT hard, I tend to let the car sit at idle for a couple of minutes until the engine temp falls to neutral before shutting down. The install is pretty straight foward and you can find it somewhere on the S4 faq section. I had to remove it along with my V1 for the Audi techs to look at my car a few months back so will probably rewire everything back in one of these weekends. The good thing about the Greddy turbo timer is that you can wire it to your emergency brake and acts as a engine cut off switch if you do not turn it off.
