Default Well, dealer tested my MAF and said it was within spec.

it tested a 6.3 and anything over 7 gets replaced. go figure...

did you get it tested at a dealer? how much was that?

Default Yes.

They charged me 1/2 hour labor--reset my codes. $43. I need to get a VAG.

I think the reason it tested so good was because I just plugged it back in. They said if I had it unplugged when I got there, there would be nothing to read.

It actually may not be a problem though, because right before I plugged it back in, it died when I started it. And--it died just now when I started it to move it up into the garage.

sigh...

Default All my invoice says is...

"check faults the mass air flow meter did show a sporadic fault check the value block readings were in spec at 6.3% clear fault"

Do you think if I left it plugged in for longer than a day or two, it would give enough faults in the reading to warrant a replacement?
