Thanks to a lot of people for their suggestions, I got my other unit up and running again- of course the day after TT Central. For me though that was enough- even though it was a simple BIOS fix for thermal stepping.
I bought this new Samsung Q1, the one i got in particular is a 1Ghz Pentium M CPU, 1GB Ram and a 60GB hard drive. Plus built in WiFi, Bluetooth, touch screen, etc etc. So now I am off to build 2 mounts, one for each car, and just transport the device between them. Details will be coming soon

I have been looking at the newest one, the Q1 Ultra CMV complete with vista and cingular wireless...
modem. Using it as a car PC is a very cool idea. What are your impressions thus far of its functionality? I heard the Q1 ultra's 1 gig of internal memory may not be enough to run vista so that is why I haven't purchased yet. Let me know what your thoughts are once you get a chance to play with it

Mine does not have Vista- which is what i want, runs XP Tablet which I think will be much faster
For me, I have a bunch of laptops, a much more powerful home desktops, this is purely a toy, but also has the purpose of replacing my current car computer, which is a great preformer with a Pentium M 2.13 cpu and more expandability, but this just makes it all so easy
For sure tell others about my impressions, I have worries about its speed, but that is why I did not go the Celeron version route.
Got it for $700 on ebay. Can't beat that price, down from $1200+
