Default Werks of Art DV?

Figured most of you would know, and I didn't find anything in a search.

One of the guys here is an A4 owner, and just bought the Werks of Art/GFB BPV after his blowoff valve gave up the ghost. He's really talking it up as being nicer than Forge (and hence Stratmosphere) due to having a Brass piston. The Werks of Art webpage seems to be completely down except the homepage, so I couldn't find out anything more.

Is there a TT version of the Werks of Art DV, and if so has anyone bought this? I'd just like to hear a comparison between this and the Stratmosphere/Forge 007P.

Default That co-worker would be me :)

And the product can be found @ GFB. The by pass valve is actually a plumb back blow off valve, and apparently is among the better BPVs once Juan at Werks of Art reworks the o-rings and the spring. The BPV for the A4 1.8T should work fine with the TT and the stage I set up that they build these valves to should handle 1.4 bar (around 20psi), with the ability to adjust for additional boost should it be needed. The valves incorporate a brass piston, as opposed to the aluminum type pistons- Since they're brass they don't expand and get stuck like Bailey's valves do (Forge I believe uses a brass piston in some of their applications as well for this very reason). I haven't installed the part in my A4 as of yet- Will be doing so maybe tonight or tomorrow depending on how motivated I feel. I currently have a Porsche 993.110 BPV installed as a temporary solution after my blow off valve took a dive.

Once installed with a couple hundred (or maybe thousand) miles logged , I'll give my impression of it's performance.

Cheers,

Randy

Default WOA is probably just reselling the GFB Hybrid valve.....

I think New Dimensions also carries them and has a little more info on the specs etc...

Let it be known that a member here BluTTo bought this and did not like it at all, I think it is in his trunk and would sell it to you cheap

Default LOL...yeah, Rob abandoned this thing on the grass at TT-East.....>>

I had to remind him as he was trying it out wih return priveledges. I think it got returned. Didn't fit well (horn faced up) and didn't do anything better than the established valves out there....If you want some noise I guess it has some merit....
