Default what are the best all season tires for a FWD TT?

i have a used 2003 audi tt fwd....need new tires. live outside of chicago (lots of snow and ice)....any suggestions on a good allseason tire? 225/45R 17

Every tire test I've seen rate the Michelin AS/3 higher than the Contis. However, the Contis may be the best value since they are much cheaper than the AS/3.

Exactly, I guess I should have clarified. I am running the Continentals - From the reviews I read and the people I talk to they all say the Michelin's are the best, however I have not run the Michelin's but, Based on my experience with the Continentals, which are awesome, I can't justify the added cost of the Michelin's approx. $50 more per tire.
