Default What do you make of Peter Brock's remarks in May issue of Sports Car?

On the new Z-car "trendy cartoon car like the VW New Beetle or the TT - designed to get public attention with the kids", "I still think it will be a sales success because there are a lot of really tasteless people out there who buy cars like that"

Quote from the lead designer, Ponchal:
"I don't think our car is as geometric or mechanical or German as that car [TT] is. When I think of the TT, I think of a straight line with vertical front & rear ends. When I think of our car, I think of two cylinders with an arched body side & a triangle upper. In fact, some of the things on the TT I wanted to try to avoid."

I think he's got the backass word. It was nice of him to state that he didn't want to completely copy the TT, how nice.

Default You gotta ask...

what has Pete Brock done since the 60's that's so great. Frankly, I think the new "Datsun" Z looks like a TT cooked in a pot of rice.

Default Aaah, Peter Brock. Is he still hanging around? You can't do anything about it. He is

just there; like a hemorrhoid. You don't want it/him but like a pile, he just causes pain and discomfort. The pimple that won't go away. The blackhead that just keeps growing.
