Default Not sure!? Let's all pitch in a dollar, order one and see!

I think it must be some kind of "pressure reservoir" or something to hold the boost pressure...

<i>"Each kit contains a specially ported and calibrated version of our Super Duty Boost Controller, hoses, and clamps."</i>

I think it is a <b>mechanical</b> device, not an electronic device.

Default Speaking about chips...

Since we already run 14lbs of boost from the factory, what is the increase in boost psi with an aftermarket chip for the 225?

Default It's a manual boost controller...

Basically it is a splitter off of the wastegate soleniod that is controlled by a t-valve. It allows pressure to bypass the wastegate and gives you full boost all the time. It is a very basic design and you could make one yourself for under $15.

I would not use this type of mechanism because it allows full boost all the time, and if you don't have a fuel pressure regulaor it will cause over-detonation, thus failure of your engine. If you already have a chip, avoid this device. If you want to control the boost maunally, then I suggest an electronic boost controller like the HKS EVC IV.

I have modded many turbo engines, and the one mentioned above is not the way to go.

Default I have no interest in this product or manual boost control. I put my trust in GIAC/PES to do that.

I was just wondering what the heck this company is trying to sell.

Maybe one of the 60 or so happy customers lurks here.

Perhaps the 60 happy customers are the folks who got paid to rebuild the engines.
