Asked two dealers here, neither
has heard anything about it. Do you
just take RedLine or is there
a new Audi OEM tranny oil.

Both...
Actually there has been some talk about Audi changing the formulation of their tranny oil. No part #s available. But in my case I chose a multi-million dollar company that specializes in oil technology as my choice (Redline) and have noted good results. Mobil one also has good products.
Just make sure the API service requirements are matched.
As far as the warranty, Audi will use any lame excuse to opt out of what is basically a sales pitch.

redline

According to my dealer, tranny is closed system, warranty voided w/ anything else - so solution is
My Audi Service tech told me they were using new tranny oil in the new TTs (similar to oil used in new A4) and suggested I try that. So I brought TT in and they put in the new oil - Result is no more grind and shifting is a bit easier - I would highly recommend this change
