what's the consensus on adding shims/washers to the Forge DV...1 or 2? Does it matter?

It's about holding boost better and reacting faster. It depends on the shim. I have one 13 x 37mm. I think TTschwing adds 2 with 5 x 37mm. So about 10mm x 37mm is the point to aim at.

Default thanks Steve...

...I vaguely recall reading someone tried using just one, so I wasn't sure if that was as good or better. I got a 6-pack of the 35mm x 2.5mm washers, so maybe I can split the cost with a couple other people, lol.

Default That's what I asked the other day.....>>

Thought it was a misprint green grille....You may be retarding the opening of the valve a little too much.....

Default Only 3mm more than you did....

It's ok for the turbo. VAG-Com tells me that the turbo runs free when letting off the throttle. It's ok for me. Boost is rising very fast everytime I push the throttle.

Sorry, I thought you used 2 of them so 10mm at all. Give it a try and do some measuring. You will like it! :-)
