while we are talking about MAF
so i have a 2001 TTQC and i ripped out the screen and the plastic shield.....will it 'hurt' or 'help' my overall performance??
no codes so far and no diff in neg vaccum reading on idle....the only diff is that the intake tone is a bit louder and deeper (very slightly)

The one problem...>>
Is your stock airbox. Losing the screens/vanes requires smooth air flow over the MAF. Guys that have done this with the stock box have had problems. Maybe you'll get lucky, but I wouldn't run it like that....
