whistling aircon compresser
Anyone else have an aircon compresser which whistles? Sounds like a small jet-engine. I told the dealer about it 2 days after I originally picked up the car (a year ago) and mentioned it must be the compressor because the noise stops as soon as you press the 'econ' button. Well, just like the DV noise which they 'haven't been able to find' the last three times I took it in, they 'couldn't find any whistling' and claimed that the 'econ' button doesn't turn off the compressor (which I really thought it did).
Haven't had the noise all winter of course, came back today, first warm day. Definitely not the turbo, definitely not the DV valve, definitely not the blower fan.

Had noise problem with my 225's AC at start-up and turn-off; either a toot or a fog horn
The dealer replaced the Expansion Valve:
(part # 6N0-820-679-C) together with four associated o-rings.
Now noise free.
