2013 TT Stuck in park, check engine light on
Check engine light has been going on and off for a couple weeks while having shifter problems. Code says loss of communication with shift console. P light flashes upon starting and sometimes will go solid and lights return to shift console. Stuck in park, unable to get shift lock override to work. Brake light switch? Shift lock solinoid? Range sensor? What am I dealing with here?

Got shift lock override to work, once out of park, shifter would not engage with any gear selection. P light flashing on dash display and no PRND lights on shifter. Brake lights are working when in park. Transmission control module?
