Default Squeaky brakes and saggy seats ...

Had my TTRQ in for TSB for sqeaky brakes. They sanded and treated the pads to 2 coats of compound - we'll see how long the repair lasts. Service acknowledges this is a temporary fix, but they haven't had any updates on if/when new pads will be avaiable that will fix the problem permanently. As for the saggy seats, Service again acknowleged the issue, took photos, and will arrange for a regional Audi rep to see my car in person in the next 2-3 weeks. I'm a persistent bastard, and will do whatever it takes for Audi to make this right.

Default They had my driver seat fixed...

After having the main northeast service manager guy or whatever he was looked at it. They had a local interior guy do it. It worked but then 3 months later back to a saggy seat.

How am I fixing this moving forward, I order my TTS with Alacantra interior : )

Default Told Service Rep he could replace ..

my current s-line interior with Alcantara seats and doorpanels. Um, he wouldn't go for that, so I'll have to see what the regional rep does. The saggy seat issue is a design flaw, plain and simple. Audi should simply acknowlege and replace seats completely if needed, even if it means with new leather, seat cushion. It's a shame, since the MkII seats are great looking. They just don't hold up.

Default thanks for the update Phil...keep us posted..

I am holding off on the brakes. When the temp gets above 50 degrees, the squeeling has stopped.
So, I will probably leave it because we have about another month of cold weather...
I have been referred to a good shop that does all sorts of performance alignment and suspension, and I have used them a few times.
If they get really bad, or the squeeling persists when it gets warmer, I will have them replace the pads...or do whatever is needed.

If the problem recurs, I will have replacement pads put on as well - likely the Hawk pads (I think they're pretty much the only aftermarket pads that fit the car).
