TTS Steering Wheel Button

TTS Steering Wheel Button
When I press the 'Mode' button on my TTS coupe's steering wheel, my display screen says "Please wait..." but never does anything. It will stay on that Please wait message until I press it again, at which time it just goes back to saying the Sirius channel that I was listening to. Anyone else have this same issue or know how to fix it?

Re: I do have BT and my phone is always there in the car with me, complete with beep at startup.
I experienced this too when I first got the car. It is downloading your phone book. It takes a pretty long time if you have a big phone list. But it will eventually work and after it's done it once the next time will be quick.
You'll know it works when it stops showing please wait and shows the first name on your phone book.

Re: I deactivated mine....
if you have the ipod hook up...I use my iphone in mine and it will shuttle between my music and phone contacts and then depending on which I have selected you then click on it while it is showing up on your display(the one between your speedometer and tach and then it will either dial the number or change the track.....Probably didn't tell you much except that it works well with iphone.

Re: I'm not sure this is my problem. I have less than 50 contacts in my iPhone...
It took quite a long time for my 1st Gen iPhone but then again I had 570 contacts. 50 should be much quicker.
I recall when I first tried to use my iPhone I couldn't for the life of me figure out what was wrong. Then I called the dealer and he told me to just press the button and wait. And sure enough eventually it worked. I think in my fumbling with it to try and make it work I must have pressed that button several times, and toggled it off whereas I should have just left it alone after the first click.
Anyway, for sure with a 1st Gen iPhone it does work. It makes and receives calls brilliantly. If you still have problems then for sure call your dealer you might need to take it in.
