Was helping her do the brakes and found a thing on the front caliper that I've never seen on a car before. Cannot fathom what it is and what it does. Ought to be a harmonic balancer of some sort, but again, never seen a thing like this! Help ID this and explain its purpose?
I had the same question as I was doing my brakes. i do believe you are correct about it being a harmonic balancer of sorts. I found that information somewhere as I was searching, but I don't remember where at this point. Not much else it can be, really.
