Greetings I’m new to the forum. I’m planning to pay off my NC MX-5 Miata by the end of 2019. I’ve become fond of convertibles but I also want a little more performance. Unfortunately Audi makes shoppers in the U.S. choose between a base TT Roadster or a TTS Coupe. Surprisingly not only are these scarce in the San Francisco Bay Area where I live, but the inventory is low on most of the West Coast. Do owners love their TT’s that much or did Audi not ship many to the states?

There are several in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in Canada. It might be worth exploring what's involved in a cross border purchase. With the current exchange, your money goes much further here. Tons of Canadians drive back and forth to FLA in their cars.
Examples of TT Roadsters on Autotrader.ca. I entered 2016 as the minimum year:
2019 (new) $70,239 (approx. 52K USD)
2018 (new) $65,900
2016 (19,608kms/12,100 miles) $49,900 (approx. $37K USD)
2016 (11,221 / 7,000miles) $46,588

I, too, came from a Miata.
Once you go to a TT, you won't look back.
Though the MK3 is a very nice car, I still look back on my MK2 2011 with fond memories.
It definitely had a better stereo, and nothing beats driving with good tunes.

Having owned 2016 TT for 3 years and 42,000+ miles I can assure you.....traveling to get this car is WELL worth the plane ticket. One of the most enjoyable cars I've ever had, regardless of price. There are some AMAZING deals to be had on certified pre-owned cars with miles so low it's ridiculous. Longer warranty than a new car and a % savings that will blow your mind. I'd encourage you to look for deals in the midwest (like Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska).
Do a little research, but I would encourage you to travel to get this car if need be...it's just that good. I've never heard of a MKIII owner saying "Eh, I didn't really like it...."

Well, it looks like this is happening sooner than I thought. I’m trying to choose between one with 40K miles vs one with 50K. The higher mileage one will work out better with payments and interest. I assume these cars don’t start to have problems at that mileage. Too bad it’s a 2016 which means no Apple CarPlay
