How to get button to come back out on dash?
I pushed in a button behind the steering wheel and above where the pedals are. Not sure how to get it to come back out. That black square. This is a 2019 model. Any ideas would be appreciated. Regards.

I can't remember completely... but I think that whole panel is held in place with metal clips. So if you just pull out firmly you can pull the panel out and reinstall the button.

I'll give that a try. Any advice on where to grasp to pull? I tried the corners, but it seemed like the panel was starting to bend. Seems like I need a panel tool.

That is not a button, it's the cabin interior temperature sensor, and it's a very good thing you noticed because it's probably reading the warmer air inside the dash now vs what you should be feeling inside the cabin, so fixing that will improve your auto climate control.

I couldn't get the lower dash panel completely off. There are two bolts to undo underneath. No clips, but pegs in a few places. However, I think there is something holding it in place under the soft part of the upper dash. I just carefully held the bottom open and snaked my hand behind and up to push the sensor back into place. The clips on the sensor didn't engage. But it's back to where it needs to be. If it falls in again, I'll use putty to keep it more secure.

Out of curiosity I called the dealership. They quoted a $215 inspection fee, then if determined to be a factory defect the fix would be covered under warranty. Crazy.
