To me (as an MK1 owner), the TT has always been about the flowing lines and the fixed spoiler detracts from that. I recently debated between a new TT-RS and RS3 and eventually chose the RS3. Had I gone TT, though, it definitely would have been with the spoiler delete option.

There definitely is not a decisive decision on the Fixed versus Non-Fixed rear spoiler.
Not that there is suppose to be .........
But it is interesting with the replies.

Thanks and you know what you have said does make perfect sense when one looks at it from that perspective.
Does anyone have a picture of the, {Audi Sport performance carbon fiber spoiler} ???
Be nice to see it on the TT RS if one of the Photoshop experts would do that for us on this Bright Red TT RS below.

I think I might be able to actually live with that on the Bright Red TT RS !!!
Not so much with the other Body Additions on that example.
But, the Spoiler I do Likeeeeeeeeee

So you think the regular fixed spoiler is too much about grabbing attention but you're ok with that monstrosity?

We went with fixed spoiler and enjoy it. We like the color matched part and the black supports. It doesn't obstruct the rear view.
Also helps to differentiate from the TT/TTS.
Also makes the rear less ...routund, less beetle-ly.

You didn't really expect a consensus, did you? ;-)
I'm just glad Audi is giving us the option with this car.

I prefer the look of the fixed spoiler. Also, If you plan to drive the car in the ice and snow the automatic spoiler may malfunction. After the spoiler extends sometimes ice gets underneath and causes a problem when it tries to go down. Maybe you can turn the spoiler off to prevent this when it is below freezing temps, idk.

The original discussion is here... https://www.audiworld.com/forums/tt-...lable-2924384/
That was before many cars were being delivered, so there wasn't much discussion and it got buried. I went ahead and "bumped" it.

I have come to 2nd think my original thinking on this.
And what has come to me is I think maybe some of you are correct that the front of the TT RS does look so Aggressive that it actually does make perfect sense that it should indeed have a Rear-Fixed-Spoiler.
So, that being said and me still pondering this matter I recalled seeing that C/F rear spoiler that's in the picture.
Now if the TT RS is going to have a real Rear-Fixed-Spoiler why not put the Real-Deal on it !!!
And in my opinion I think just maybe the C/F one would possibly really look Killer with the right color TT RS and with the right options.
Like as an example, the Dynamic Package with the Black Polished 20" Forged Wheels, and the Black-Out-Package.
Then with that C/F Spoiler it would maybe look just like it came from Audi on their Race Edition TT RS Coupe.
I'm also basing that on looking at the Porsche below.
If it is good enough for Porsche then to me why not possibly have something like it on the TT RS.
Especially in the Bright Red or possibly the Yellow.
Now this to me looks like the Real-Deal for the TT RS Racing Edition guys.
