Default very minor design flaw w/ tt

ive had my mk3 tt for around 9 months now. man i love it. i miss the new audi smell but it's just a great car.

im sure all of you who have the tt have noticed this by now, but if you open your back hatch door after it rains, water that is trapped in an 'internal gutter' (in space behind frameless glass, i presume) sort of just empties out into your back storage area. i sort of learned the hard way but it ruined some important documents i had. from now on i just know not to bother with that hatch if it's rained within a few hrs and my car was outside.

Yes, comes with the territory considering how relatively large and sloped the hatch is. Takes awhile to drain.

Zaino leather-in-a-bottle is somewhat akin to new car smell [which is actually factory glue outgassing]. Zaino Store : Z-10 Leather in a Bottle

if its any consolation, every Volvo wagon my wife has had, does the same. She's had like 6 or 7 of them....I think it's tough to drain water from these rear hatches.

If I think about it, my A4 sedans did the same when I opened the trunk.
