Default windscreen wiper

I'm new to cars and have never owned an Audi before. I just bought an Audi TT.

How do i lift up the windscreen wipers to clean the windscreen please? The wipers seem to be recessed under the bonnet and cannot be lifted up as in other older cars I've owned.

Thank you very much

Turn the ignition on.... then off....push the wiper lever up and hold. The wipers will come up and stop on the windshield then you can lift them for cleaning.

It's addressed in the manual. Turn ignition on, turn it off, immediately move wiper lever (not sure if up or down) one notch.

I actually have this written in my log so I don't forget:

You're holding the stalk down into the momentary/mist position until they come up. More importantly, you do the same (HOLD it down) to get them to come back down. If I remember correctly, they wouldn't come down even if the stalk was pushed momentairily into mist or if it was moved up into one of the operating positions... It freaked me out for a second when I first got it.
