Check engine light is on and Vag-com register a 16502...
I looked up 16502 and it says Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (G62): Signal too High.
What would this mean in better English?? Do I need to take my car in to get looked at?
Thanks in advance.

Better English, eh?
Well:
Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (G62):
That's the name and part descriptor for the sensor that measures the temperature of the coolant in the engine.
Signal too High.
That's saying that the ECU has recorded a signal from that sensor as being too high.
I'd suggest replacing the sensor.
