Default hex-com quit working..."com1 not accessible" Help?

The settings are as they were the last time I used it. As soon as I go to run it, I get an error message "com port status - inaccessible". I get the same for com2 and com4. Com3 says "ok, adapter status 5- unknown device. I'm sure that I was using com1 from the start. WTF?

Default That's not a problem with the HEX-COM!

"COM Port Inaccessible" is a problem internal to your PC. It usually means some other app is hogging the port. Most often it's a PDA Hotsynch app.

Default right you are. My wife said her "IT guy" resolved a ...

port problem for her because she couldn't sync her pocket PC. Any suggestions on making the 2 things share?

Default Thanks Uwe. I disabled the com1 connection...

in the sync software, and all is right in the world once again!
