Looking to pick-up a VAG-COM cable from Ross-Tech, need some tips on what to get.
My car is a 2002 1.8T A4 (B6). Looking for a USB cable to plug into my laptop which runs Windows XP. I've never used a VAG-COM before, but I'm a keen DIYer so chances are I'll access the software regualry. Looking for some advice on which product package to get. According the the Ross-Tech website, there are a couple of options.

Any plans to get a B7 or other new models in future? If in doubt, the HEX+CAN series would be it.

Sort of, the software license is included in the price and the software activation...
...is being done by the genuine Ross-Tech interface. So once you downloaded and installed the software, it's ready to be used.
