Default Where can I find complete info about VAG diagnostic procedures?

Such as "Basic Settings", "Adaption", "Recode" for my Audi A4 3.0. For example, Group definition in Basic settings, values settings in Adaption.

Default There's no single source that's "Complete".

But the page linked below would be a good start.

Thanks for the info. But the link only contains procedures for 2.0 engine. Does it apply to Audi 3.0 V6?

Default No, it doesn't.

The 3.0 is not wonderfully well documented, but it's pretty much a standard ME7 system.

Do you think the Bentley manual contains "Basic Setting" and "Adaption" information?

Default I wonder when they added that?

I just checked the on-line version and you're right, it's in there.

None of that was available back when we had one of the US-launch B6's on a 2 year lease as an R&D car.

Default I bought my first B6 Bentley CD about a year or so ago....

and there was no OBDII factory or generic scan tool information at all. The most recent one I bought.......hmmmm......maybe 2 months ago when I was having some cam timing issues on an 02 AVK.

Did you mean the Bentley CD for same B6, but made at different time could contain different contents? How do I distiguish the year it was made, by version number?

Thanks.
