o.k this is a 89--90 quatro for my 16 yr old it runs good or so i heard but the lazy dad who knows nothing degreased the engine then he sprayed it with water(soaked it) we took it for a small drive but cou;ldn't keep it running my stepdad tried to take off the distr. dry it but the car doesn't seem to be getting any gas....can i bleed the fuel line...could it be the timming is thrown off... i know i don't know much just trying to get his birthday car running before he's is 17 and before he rips on mine too much!! please help please!!!!

In most cases water or moisture is effecting the HT circuit and parts.Find a spray product for moisture or at least some petroleum with a small brush and apply on HT coil,distributor,spark plug wires and connectors.Also spray on all electric connectors you see.Good luck

all dizzy vw/audi cars stop running when you wash them. Take the cap off and clean all of the water out.

I wash my VW/Audi dizzy motors about 2 times a month. No problem. Ever. Hose, or pressure washer.
