Gary: What is the best all season tire for my 19 inch rim on the 2006 Audi A8L??
I currently have the pirellis P6 but they are horrible in the snow and makes the car skid and slid more for a quattro sedan. Which is better, Michelin Pilot Sport or Yokohama? the pilot sport a/s on my lexus was taken off after 10,000 miles since they were noisy and had some vibration on rough surfaces due to the thread designs. SO I am cautious about this tire for the A8. What tire do you recommend for all season, long lasting, good in the snow and comfortable and quiet?

I just got the one tire you mentioned...
Pilot Sport. Excellent for a "spirited" driver. I'm surprised you had a problem, very few bad reviews. Good in snow, fo sho.
Speaking of very few bad reviews, Turanza Serenity seems like an excellent high-end tire. It was my 1st pick, but I came into a special deal on the Pilots. Wear is unparalleled except Michelin HydroEdge, which is something you specificly mentioned.
I'm not sure about your sizing needs and you directed your question to Gary, but I do like my Pilots Sports so far.

The best two all saesons for a more aggressive driver that we've had experience with in that size are the Pilot Sport A/S plus (which replaced the old pilot sport A/S for a bit more wear, better wet traction) and the Yokohama Advan S4. The Bridgestone Serenity would be even smoother and quieter with longer wear, but will be a step down in dry grip and steering response.

Tires

A. Pilot Sport A/S ................Or B. Pilot Sport A/S Plus?
Tire Rack suggests there is a difference between the two types in snow.
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus (Ultra High Performance All-Season 225/45R17)
* What We Liked: Well-mannered road qualities, good handling feel
* What We'd Improve: A slight improvement in wet performance at the limit
* Conclusion: Plus really does mean better than before
* Latest Test Rank: 1st (August 2008)
* Previous Test Rank: Not previously tested
So, YES, only you can answer the question, which one do you have?

Any recommendations for a non-aggressive driver? Don't get me wrong, I like to go fast [recovering 911 owner] I just don't get to drive aggressively very often. Treadlife > ultra-adhesion for me.
19" wheels w/sport package if that matters.
Thanks, Kevin
