I ordered 16" ATP S5's with Dunlop M2's. UPS lost 1 wheel so I have 3. Tire Rack is out of stock so I must return them and order a new complete set. Unfortunatly all S4 compatible 16" wheels are out of stock. Plenty of 17's but then there are NO M2's to put on them.

Should I switch to Blizzak LM22's? A post below makes me think I should stick with M2's.

I know the tirerack is convenient, but a 16" tire/wheel is better than a 17" for serious winter driving.

If you think you're better off with a 16, then get that locally.

If you're fine going to 17's, the LM22's are far better than continueing to use the stock tires in inappropriate conditions. Given a choice, I would not pick them, but when nothing else is available, I wouldn't think twice, I'd remove those stock tires asap.

Other tires to consider: Nokians (review below), Michelin Pilot Alpins (tire rack out of stock on these?), a Vredsteins (search for reviews).

Most local stores don't carry low profile tires in stock, and popular ones are all gone

Luke at Tire Rack was finally able to track down a Dunlop winter sport M2 like the 3 at my house. Then he was able to find a scratch and dent sale ATP S5 that I could have at a discount.

Tire and wheel will be delivered next Thursday.

(if UPS doesn't lose this one also!!!!)
