I'm planning on buying winter tires this year, so that means getting rid of the existing tires (I'm going to use the OEM wheels).

So, the Pirelli 7000 Super Sports must go, they have 20,000 miles and are in very good shape. I'm a pretty casual driver (no auto X). However, I don't want to be shipping this, so, I'm looking for someone in the Twin Cities (MN).

I'm looking for $20 a tire (or $70 for all 4). The size is 205/55/16.

Question -- I am looking for a 4-season tire for NYC and some ski trips to Vermont, etc. Light snow and some ice. How are the P7000s?

I otherwise would get Dunlop D60s which I've had on a Saab 9000 Turbo. Loved 'em. Great all-weather and non-snow snow tire.

I am looking to dump the 195/65-15 Michelin MXV4 Plus and their wuss "Buick" feel from my 99 Passat 1.8t Tiptronic. (Garrett chip ASAP.)

BTW, what summer tire are you looking to get in the Spring. The word is hot on the Firestone (believe it or not) SZ50.

And, wow, Pete B! The price is right. If only we can negotiate my paying wrapping/shipping to NY if you just drag them to a UPS franchise who can hang toe-tags on 'em.
