Default What's the best way to package wheels/tires for shipment? (more)

I'm shipping my wheels/tires via UPS and they're about 45 lbs each.

Should I deflate them?

Any ideas on how to package to best protect them?

Any experience on how much it will cost? (I plan on shipping each wheel with mounted tire individually obviously)

TIA.<p><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/larryvsig2.jpg">

Default Packaging wheels for shipping- a how to.

When you package, do like we do:

Use a plastic/foam insert (bubble wrap, etc) over the wheel face , then use a cardboard disc (double up of the wheel face side) on top & bottom. You can secure this with duct tape (go around in a multi angle pattern, like you slice a pizza- be generous.

Also, if you are including lug nuts, either ship as a separate package. NEVER put them inside the package loose where they can roll around inside the package. This is true of any hardware.

Hope this helps. Call me with any questions!<p>Eddie
