Audi A4 B7: How to Replace Side Mirror

The side mirror on the Audi A4 B7 stick out enough to make them in danger of breaking. The side mirrors are critical components to you safety when driving. Whether you broke your mirror or you want to upgrade to aftermarket ones, replacing them is a process that can be done at home. It is no secret that the dealership will charge you everything you have for a new side mirror. This guide will show you how you can do this procedure all on your own. Audi A4 B7: How to Replace Side Mirror

Materials Needed

  • Torx 30 bit
  • Flat head screwdriver

Step 1 – Remove plastic trim

On the door panel, right across from the side mirror, use your flat head screwdriver to gently pry off the plastic trim hiding the mirror's bolt.

Step 2 – Remove mirror's bolt

Remove the one bolt holding the side mirror in place. Use your Torx 30 bit to remove it, then pull the mirror away from the car, and pull the electrical harness apart to disconnect it from the mirror assembly.

Step 3 – Install new mirror

Connect the electrical wire to your new mirror, then align it in place. Tighten the one bolt holding it in place, then install the plastic trim piece by simply pushing it in place.
