I just swapped my old instrument cluster to be sure this cluster is not responsible for this mess.
But unfortunate I cannot activate ACC in 17 INSTRUMENT Ross-Tech: VCDS Tour 10 adaptation channel 17=1. (0=ACC OFF / 1 = ACC ON).

#58 Did you also have the gearbox mapped to raise the torque limits?

MMI.Drachten: I am not aware the gearbox is remapped.

Question:
Can this be done by the motor software?
Or by OBD?
Or do you physical have to connect the computer to the gearbox module?

Sorry I didn't respond yet...

I still have a second (spare) radar, type F. The idea is to test this radar previous to the eventually software flash.

As the radar is installed behind the grille and the entire bumper needs to be removed I need to find so time. But I will install the spare (model F) radar as soon as possible.

I will keep you updated.
The 'H' gateway is equally as important. It is the "gateway" that allows various modules to communicate with one another. I would think having the incorrect gateway would be the first step in correcting your DTC issue.

Next step is to swap the radar 4E0907561E into 4E0907561F

The ACC is working!!

The 4E0 910 561 E radar sensor software version was to old for my 2008 A8 4.2TDI

I swapped this old sensor for version 4E0 910 561 F .

I would like to thank anyone for their contribution!

Case closed!

If you have then I would go back to the tuner and have them reflash the gearbox back to standard to see if the issues you have with ACC and no acceleration in 4th go away.

UPDATE:

Finally I solved this problem by re-flash the original motor software. The cartuner made a WRONG tuning. Probably he modified the Q7 4.2 TDI software and put it into my A8 4.2 TDI. Thank you so much ;-(

A working ACC is a beautiful thing, I'm in Germany at the moment and enjoying the Autobahns shame the ACC only goes to 120 MPH but otherwise its a great option and I wouldn't have another car without it.
