Ok so it's been some time now, and never got the bluetooth module to work so I`m about to order another one. Rain/light sensor is working great.

I see there are also bluetooth modules for sale starting with 4E1, not 4E0; 4E1 862 335
Could someone please tell me if these will work, and what's the difference if any?

I`m also wondering what the difference in software versions is about, and what I should get if I want it to be able to work with latest phones.

Thanks in advance.

the Bluetooth modules are liable to expire. Plenty of people have had this happen.

Mine is a 4E0 model, I plugged it in and it worked just fine.

My MMI software is 4220 though, so maybe you need an update?

My rain sensor is working fine, still haven't found a decent central convenience module to run proper auto headlights - you help has been instrumental in working that out!

I am happy to send you pics of my module and the wiring if need be.

Mike

Hey Mike,Thanks for your reply.

I've tried just about everything (different wiring/coding/ran MMI update twice) and i`m pretty sure the unit is dead. MMI is on 5570 which is the latest for European cars.
The unit is visible if I search bluetooth devices on my Phone, and i can even pair but MMI is saying 'telephone not installed'. So thanks but i`m pretty sure the wiring is not the issue.

A shame you haven't found the right module yet, and happy to have helped with that!

On different note; My transmission gave me an intermittent error code, have to look up what number it gave me, but I believe it was 'torque convertor being stuck in OFF position'.
No fault light on my dash, only visibile in VCDS scan. Using google and making some calls made me decide to make an appointment to have the transmission updated, flushed and filled with ZF Lifeguard 8f fluid. The update has been done at the Audi shop, and another company is performing the flush. Currently it's at the company performing the flush, can't wait to have it back and experience the results. I've found mixed stories about flushing the transmission, and these fault codes, so hoping for the best.

Thanks.

Default bluetooth

Hi everybody
@ Stefman : please can you tell where (physical / place) you mount the bluetooth module ?
I found some interesting informations here :
AudiWorld Tech Articles
(about wirings, replacement, connectors, conversion chart for pins, ecc)
My problem is that I can not connect any mobile-phone (by bluetooth) to using the car-kit. I have a car-phone (probably integrated in MMI) with a handset Motorola in the central armrest, staying in a cradle (where I inserted a SIM).
My phone module is 4E0910333F and I intend to change with a module 4E0910336MX but nobody tell me if will be ok.
Good luck
