allroad 4.2: Serious oil leak when driving to Lake Louise.
I just parked the ar at Chateau Lake Louise after a 200km drive from Calgary, weather is 30 below zero. Once the ar is parked there is a heavy smell of burnt oil.I open the hood, take a look into the engine bay. There is oil all over the engine head and also on both sides of the spark plugs and below that area also.
- I can`t see where the oil is coming from but there seems to be a lot of it.
- I had no symptoms driving the 200km, no loss of power, no smell, no yellow lights on the dash board..........nothing.
- After my brunch (120 minutes) I returned to the ar and checked the oil level. It was below the lowest level on the dipstick but there was still a level that could be read on the dipstick.
I had the ar towed back to Calgary and it`s waiting for a diagnostics.......I`m impatient so any body out there with something to cheer me up or not I`m ready for it.
Thanks to all.
Cheers.
