Default You can fix them to prevent buying new ones (pricey).

STFA for "breather hoses".

They transport blow-by gases/oil vapor back to the intake.

Default For the AFC engine, left side is P/N 078-103-211-S up to VIN 4A-T-035-846...

or P/N 078-103-211-AC for VINs past 4A-T-035-846; right side P/N 078-103-224-J. Both breather hoses are $61.03 each at www.genuineaudiparts.com.

Default Either will work fine...

Most importantly, make sure they are sealed, as short as possible, and at a slight upward angle from valve cover to intake plenum.
