I have a new motor on its way but i still need the motor aah i have in the car now. My oil pressure reliefe vlave is leaking is there anyway to plug that ? There isnt very much access. I also have oil leaking down the side of the block. Im thinking the valve cover gasket is blown. Has any one experienced such problems ?

will definately cause oil to leak down the side of the block, especially at high rpms. Be careful because if lots of oil is leaking, it could cause damage to the alternator (left side) or AC (right side).

Yea its definately bad i lost about a gallon of oil the other day and the car has been sitting since.

And they are an easy install...but make sure to torque them properly. Too tight, and you will be losing a lot more oil...

You also may want to check the valley pan gasket and rear crank seal.

What are the torque vlaues for the valve covers ?
