Default 2.7 valves toasted

I have some bad intake valves. Can you get the head off the motor without removing the engine? The car is a 2001 A6 2.7t

Default Re: 2.7 valves toasted

I changed the coolant after-run pump. I guess when I bought the car, the dealership replaced the valve cover gaskets. Some idiot cut the tie staps off the injectors and and coil pack wires. When I removed the intake, guess what fell inside the intake valves. Thats right, the wire ties. The valves were not bent, just being held open slightly. After removing the engine and tranny. I took the heads off, had them cleaned and did a total valve job on the car. Just a word of caution for those attempting the coolant pump replacement.
