Default Buying a 2.7T

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/153844/p6280036.jpg"></center><p>So after a few days I got tired of my A4. I drive a 1.8T S package (17" and lowered suspension). I'm a car enthusiast and have been looking for something new. I've looked into E30 BMWs (light, very cheap, handle well, but limited to low HP on a budget), SR20 Nissans (VERY cheap, and relatively easy to modify), and S4s. I've decided to modify the 2.7 myself. So I am down to upgrading it to RS4 equivalent. I am run into the problem of modifying the head. I know the RS4 head is ported, but to what mm? So right now my list includes...cams (including everything for timing), KO4s, upgraded intercoolers, oil cooler, etc...etc. My problems are fuel delivery, DVs, the ported head, and engine internals (should I even get new rods, pistons? I was going to modify the head: valves, springs, retainers). I want to put 450 down. Throw out some ideas please.

try posting on the B5 S4 forum, there's a lot more traffic and knowledge there.

If you're going to go for cams then why not go for it all, build the internals and throw some GTs on

full rs6's con rods fmic (cheap) meth injection and a tune and your done..

Vast, EPL, Autospeed, AWE or APR Stage III. Problem solved. (NOT cheap.) As mentioned, check B5S4.
