Is it normal to have higher pitched spin sound when the motor is cold?...
Here is the story. When I fist start my car in the morning I get this funny sound for few seconds, than it goes away and the car idles normally at the idle revs.??? Turbos starting to go bad or is this normal?

Not sure it's normal.
It is indeed the air pump (actually the secondary air pump) that feeds the turbos. If it begins to sound like a dentist's drill, you've got a problem. Mine got progressively worse over the last few months and began to sound even more metallic. Finally had it replaced (today!!) and all is quiet once more. Cost $498 for a re-man plus $279 for labor and few more for tax. 2000 S4 with 136K on the meter. Now for sale, by the way, after replacing this, cats, O2's and a lot of other things (plus an A5 on order). Hope this helps.
