looping idle
I have a 99 a4 2.8
The other day i noticed a pool of water built up in the engine compartment behind the firewall. So i unclogged the drains below the battery tray.I disconnected the battery from the car so i could get access to the clogged drains.
as soon as i put the battery back in the car and drove the car i noticed my RPM's would loop for a couple seconds when i push the clucth in before returning back to normal idle.
I have heard that the throttle body can lose communication to the ecu when you disconnect the battery. Never heard of such a thing?
If anybody could give me answers it would be greatly appreciated.
p.s. i dont think its a vacuum leak

Just drive it a few days. It should go away, car forgets its adaptive memory for idle stabilization. Takes awhile to relearn it. you can try a throttle body re-adapt with vag com but you shouldnt need to.
