I hear you and that happened to me in my 2017 Q5 with the OEM winter mats. BUT as mentioned I'm going to be extra careful about that snow on my shoes and if I see the OEM's aare not offering adequate protection I'm going to get the WT's for sure.

I live in Dallas so snow is not an issue. But I love the Weather Tech mats. I bought them in light grey to match the A4 Ultra Sport paint scheme.

And the dirt they collect is pretty disgusting. Better in the mat than on the carpet...
