2001 A4 1.8T with 39,000 miles, anything I should look for

Well I have 39,000 miles on my wonderful 2001 A4. I'm curious to see if there is anything I should watch out for.

Also, since the warranty runs out at 50,000 miles, does anyone have a good place to get an extended warranty? Or should I not get one?

I take it you arent buying it from a dealer?

That year and milage would easily qualify for Audi Assured if you were.

He already has an A4...he's asking what he should do with it. I'm tempted to tell him to read the maintenance section in his owners manual, but....

It's up to you about the warranty. It may be pretty expensice at this point.

I did not buy one and just recently had my 60k service done: $400. Plus both tie rods were replaced and an alignment was done. Total was over $800. I could have taken it to an independant shop but I was too lazy so I paid for it. Call around and see how much the extended warranty is. Audi quoted me like 2.5k-3k when I asked about it.
